Jocelin & Daniel's Wedding

Welcome to our wedding website! We are so excited to have you celebrate our union this August.

 

We first met when Jocelin's cousin and my longtime friend introduced us for a Halloween haunted house back in 2016. Daniel had the impression that this was a blind date, Jocelin had no idea and was simply excited to visit Portland for the night.

The sparks started on a dance floor later that evening and Daniel was left determined to see Jocelin again. The only problem was that Jocelin lived in San Jose, CA at the time.

​

But love triumphs all, even distance. Daniel and Jocelin would switch visiting each other almost monthly, growing a long-distance relationship for 2 years.

​

In October of 2018 Jocelin and Daniel took a month long trip to Southeast Asia where they spent more than just a weekend enjoying each other's company. They visited Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos where they experienced so much more of the world and each other: bathing elephants, eating delicious food, walking in the jungle, getting humped by monkeys, riding a scooter through mountains, basking in the beaches and temples and enjoying life's wonders.

Soon after in February 2019​, Jocelin made the brave choice to join Daniel in Portland and moved out of California to begin a life of living together. Jocelin fell in love with Oregon's nature, Portland's quirkiness, and obviously Daniel. Soon after moving in together, they got their first puppy together who they named Mazapan. And Jocelin's crazy ass showed up with a kitten a few days later who they called Duvalin, though they just call her "gata." They've been a happy family of four since then.

It's been a long story of Daniel and Jocelin building a life together​ and it's so beautiful that after getting to know each other for 8 years, they continue to chose each other and their love. There's been lots of laughter, tears, joy, struggle, celebration, trust, and all of the in-between in their journey of choosing to become Los Buenos.
